Padre Greg Bailey OSG ( Order of the Silly Grin)

On Wednesday evenings Padre Greg Bailey conducts an Anglican communion service at St. George's chapel. Last night his service focused on St Patrick's Day. However he did tell a method to deal with people that he learnt when he was in Manitoba. Padre Bailey tells more about the initials OSG Order of the silly grin and how they help him deal with life.
"OSG":
It came from Dean Harry Hobbs about 1978. And while he used it to refer to the inability not to smile when the Spirit is upon you, I think the idea of using it to diffuse human foibles and unpleasantness can be a strong witness in the fight to love one's enemies. It's all about serving with a gentle spirit after the example of Matthew 11:29.
I will remember that sermon for a long time as it gave me a coping technique for life and a glimpse into how Padre Bailey, a chaplain ministers to his soldiers.
